Salary & Commission

14.00 to  17.00 per hour. Commission structure: assistance pay up to 8% on transactions, additional $1.39 per hour on top of hourly rate. Assistant Store Managers earn commission based on productivity (2‑8%) and a bonus based on store performance.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management or equivalent key experience. In this role, you will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain talent, drive financial goals, and manage customer relations. You will analyze store financial statements, commit to the asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisition.

The position offers a base hourly wage plus commission and a bonus based on store performance.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing issues.
  • Monitor and assist in training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure procedures for asset protection.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated supervisory ability.
  • Familiarity with firearms and able to obtain certification.
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to work multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Assist Store Managers will work 40+ hours a week; hours not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
