Overview
Retail Store Management Trainee to join our Team. Pay rate: $14.00 to $22.40 per hour.
This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.
Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $4.31 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. The Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive, productive environment. The role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, manage Customer Relations/Customer Satisfaction, and set a customer-centric tone.
Collaborate with the Store Manager to analyze store financial statements, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. The position involves handling a wide variety of products, including jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
The hourly wage is complemented by commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Final pay is dependent on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store; manage cash drawers and merchandise; ensure asset protection procedures are followed.
- Maintain asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and loan security.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
- The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) in compliance with laws.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers exterior to the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
