Then you go to work and you ensure everyone there is doing what they need to do, even your boss. It’s time to move up. Domino’s Pizza is hiring bosses – more specifically general managers.
This is a tough job that requires a natural leader. Core skills include judgment, math and the ability to multitask. You’ll be working for a company that’s fun and flexible and the work experience you’ll gain will be valuable for a long time.
As general manager you are responsible for everything that happens during your shift:
- All cost controls, inventory control and cash control.
- Customer relations and staff performance.
- Following all policies and procedures 100% of the time and setting the example for the crew.
- Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management.
- Work to a schedule, adhere to standards and maintain a perfect image.
- Great customer service, punctuality, transportation to and from work, store cleanliness.
- Marketing, profitability and overall store operations.
Many team members began as delivery drivers and are now successful franchise owners. Opportunities for progression include general manager, franchisee, or corporate operations manager.

QUALIFICATIONS- Operate all equipment and stock ingredients.
- Prepare product, receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Orientation and training are provided on the job.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal for customer and team interactions.
- Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide accurately and quickly.
- Make correct monetary change.
- Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Mathematics and cash handling.
- Verbal, written, and telephone communication.
- Motor coordination for precise order entry.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer or touch screen.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F to 90°F+.
- Fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters including a walk-in cooler.
- Hot surfaces and tools up to 500°F.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Talking and hearing on telephone.
- Near and mid-range vision for most tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze data, make judgments and decisions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Standing, walking, sitting at a desk for paperwork.
- Bulk product deliveries unloaded with a hand truck (up to 50 lbs).
- Carry large cans, trays of pizza dough, sauce, and other supplies.
- Push and pull trays on dollies.
- Navigate stairs or ladders infrequently for maintenance.
- Forward bending, kneeling and reaching are common during assembly and stocking tasks.
- Eye‑hand coordination is essential for shaping dough, handling a pizza cutter and manipulating boxes.
- Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, and other tools is required.
- Deliver product by car to customer doors, flyers and door hangers.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required.
- Access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
- Read maps and locate addresses within a designated delivery area.
- Navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings and private homes.
- Carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing stairs.
- Deliver multiple orders per shift via vehicle.
- Navigate up to five flights of stairs during deliveries.
- Expose to varying weather conditions when delivering.
