Food Service Pool

Position Summary

The FOOD SERVICE STAFF POOL includes four primary roles: FOOD PREPARER, FOOD LINE SERVER, CASHIER, and DISHWASHER.

• FOOD PREPARER – Prepare foods, portion items, clean and pare vegetables, serve at counter stations, set up buffet, carry bulk food, perform related duties.
• FOOD LINE SERVER – Provide service for special events, set up tables and silver services, assist with simple food preparation, collect food items, ensure sanitation, keep area clean.
• CASHIER – Operate cashier station, receive payments, disburse change, prepare station, verify cash, close booth, perform related duties.
• DISHWASHER – Maintain clean work areas, collect dirty dishes, set up and operate dish‑washing machine, distribute clean items, assist with food preparation and service.

• FOOD PREPARER – Three months experience in simple cooking, food preparation, display and service; ability to read recipes.
• FOOD LINE SERVER – Three months experience as a food server/waiter; ability to follow instructions.
• CASHIER – High school diploma or equivalent; three months experience as a cashier in a medium to large‑volume operation.
• DISHWASHER – Three months experience in dish washing, food preparation, display and service; ability to read instructions.

• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• Work in a crowded, high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Learn proper operation and maintenance of dish‑washing machines.

• FOOD PREPARER – High school diploma; more than six months experience.
• FOOD LINE SERVER – High school diploma; more than six months experience including set‑ups and catered events.
• CASHIER – Coursework in cashiering/bookkeeping; more than six months experience in food service.
• DISHWASHER – High school diploma; more than six months experience in dish washing and food service.
