Overview

Unidine is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time WAITER/WAITRESS positions at Mirador Retirement Community, 5857 Timbergate Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78414. Schedule varies (weekdays, weekends, and holidays).

Pay
: $13.50 per hour

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences. Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests.
• Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information to the supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service; keep the area clean while meeting sanitation standards.
• Operate a variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Prior experience as a server is required; experience in a senior living or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dining environment and provide excellent guest service.
