The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with department requirements and state standards of practice. Using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage," the RN advocates for patients, families, and caregivers, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission and values.

• Provide professional nursing care and related assistance to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with critical illnesses requiring admission to the unit.
• Lead by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient‑care team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
• Delegate nursing tasks based on patient needs and the knowledge and skills of the individual assigned.
• Coordinate ongoing operations of the unit, including staffing and scheduling.

• 1 year of experience in an acute‑care setting preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or a Multi‑State Compact license (employees with an RN Compact license must obtain a Texas RN license within 90 days of hire).
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification required.
