• Understand and apply aseptic technique to maintain a sterile field and assist in procedures or patient pre‑surgery preparation.
• Determine appropriate preparation areas for different procedures.
• Assess patients pre‑surgery and ensure they understand the procedure, facilitating a “timeout” with the perioperative team.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
• Account for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.

• At least 1 year of clinical experience as a licensed RN in the operating room, CVOR, perioperative services or surgical center.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role such as charge nurse or manager.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or a multi‑state compact license (must obtain a Texas RN license within 90 days of hire).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• CNOR preferred.
