Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Corpus Christi, TX (WEEKENDS ONLY)

Shift: weekends only

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The Registered Nurse / Circulating Nurse assures the responsibility of planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care administered to surgical patients.

• They will have patient contact during the pre-, intermediate-, and immediate post-operative periods, and monitor the activities of all operating room staff during the procedure to which he/she is assigned.

• Demonstrates clinical skills in surgery, and serves as charge nurse when assigned by Clinical Nurse Coordinator during regular scheduled hours and during on-call emergency situations.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, BSN preferred.

• Current licensure as an RN

• Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.

• Minimum of 1 year of RECENT ACUTE CARE experience in operating room or ICU

• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, strong communication skills and leadership abilities.
