This position is with the Compassionate Care Clinic, an independent nonprofit organization located within one of our managed properties. Our company, Quincy Management, provides HR support to Compassionate Care and is managing this recruitment process on their behalf.

About Us

Compassionate Care is a grant-supported free clinic dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare to uninsured adult patients. Compassionate Care Clinic leverages the donated time and expertise of our community, clinicians, and collaborating partners to provide adult patients with primary healthcare, mental healthcare, and educational resources at no cost. In addition to a salaried Medical Director, seventeen volunteer physicians provide care at our clinic.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our clinic. The NP will provide primary and preventive healthcare services to adult patients. The ideal candidate should have at least one year’s experience in primary care, internal medicine, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in adult patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including prescribing medications within scope of practice.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including lab work and imaging studies as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the clinic’s mission of expanding access to healthcare for vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
• Minimum of One (1) year of clinical experience in adult primary care, internal medicine, or community health or,
• if less than one year NP experience, should have significant RN experience in adult ICU / ER.
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
