Senior Ports & Maritime Project Manager (190581)

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple small to large projects simultaneously (construction values from $5M to $100M). Primary duties include maintaining schedules, estimating and providing input regarding project resource needs, staff workload projections, maintaining budgets, and overseeing quality control of deliverables.
  • Apply thorough knowledge of current engineering principles and practices in this field to resolve crucial issues and unique conditions.
  • Work on projects ranging from limited to complex features.
  • Use USACE regulatory permitting processes and strategies to successfully permit projects.
  • Generate proposals and fee estimates using internally established tools and software, implementing company objectives and contributing to strategic planning for the ports and maritime program.
  • Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle, from development to close‑out.
  • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
  • Establish and maintain client relations, participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
  • Conduct deliverable development sessions with staff and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload throughout the project life cycle, ensuring on‑time deliverables.
  • Track financial aspects, adjusting work effort to stay within budget and schedule.
  • Work with Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Supervise large project staff and mentor less‑experienced Project Managers.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years designing and/or project managing heavy industrial and ports and maritime projects, plus construction observation/administration experience.
  • Experience with traditional delivery methods (design‑bid‑build) and alternative delivery methods (design‑build, CM at Risk, CM for Fee, etc.).
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 10 years related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software.
  • Excellent organizational, project management and communication skills (written and verbal).
