Education/Certification Required:

- Must possess minimum on noncommercial pesticide applicators license from the Texas Structural Board.
- Preferred:
Minimum on noncommericial pesticide applicators license from the Texas Department of Agriculture within 180 days of hire - Preferred:
License categories:
Pest, lawn, Ornamental and weed control
- Good communicating and reasoning skills.
- Must posses a Texas operator's or class C driver's license and be insurable by the District.
- One to three years experience mixing chemicals and pesticide application.
- Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime if necessary to ensure job requirements are satisfied and in the event emergency situations arise.
- Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels in the School District.
- Demonstrates the willingness to work split shifts, nights, weekends and holidays as job requirements dictates.
- Must be able to take directions and complete assigned tasks on schedule without direct supervision.
Under the direct supervision of the Site Maintenance Foreman and the general supervision of the Coordinator for Site Maintenance, plan, schedule, dilute, mix and apply various pesticides/chemicals on CCISD facility ground throughout the District. Perform other grounds maintenance duties as required. Help ensure other desirable environmental conditions are met in order to support the education mission of the District.

Responsibilities:
- Conform to all Board Policies and Procedures, Administrative Directives, and Departmental Rules and Regulations.
- Perform all tasks required within the basic responsibilities.
- Assist in planning, scheduling and identifying chemical spray applications on all facility grounds.
- Mix chemicals for application as required by label.
- Apply herbicides and insecticides to playgrounds of all facilities.
- Continue to ensure all continuing education units, required by the Texas Structural Pest Control Board are fulfilled to maintain current licensing requirements.
- Maintain a written record of chemical applications as required by the Structural Pest Control Board.
- Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) as needed.
- Check to ensure the safety of student and workmen at all times.
- Must be able to operate school vehicles in the performance of duties.
- Record proper information on work orders.
- Responsible for quality control on all work performance.
- Perform other job related duties as required for the daily operation of the school.
