Key

Responsibilities

Spearhead legal disputes from initial filing through final resolution, including motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trials.

Analyze case facts, legal issues, and applicable laws to craft litigation strategies that best serve client interests.

Draft various legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda.

Represent clients in state and federal courtrooms, showcasing confidence and competence during oral arguments and trial proceedings.

Communicate consistently with clients to provide updates, manage expectations, and offer strategic counsel.

Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure cohesive and efficient case handling.

Participate in settlement discussions, mediations, and negotiations when appropriate.

Remain current with procedural changes, legal trends, and industry developments.

Qualifications & Background

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience practicing in a litigation setting.

Active license to practice law in the state of Texas (in good standing).

Proven ability to manage a caseload independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

Prior courtroom and trial experience is strongly preferred.

Academic Credentials

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Completion of an undergraduate degree before law school.

Strong written and verbal advocacy skills.

Keen attention to detail and organizational proficiency.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Adept in legal research platforms and case management systems.

Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal communication abilities.

Self-motivated with a high level of integrity and a commitment to ethical practice.
