In-house Corporate Counsel for a vibrant Financial Institution –
Onsite required

Kreps – Colgan & Associates Executive Search firm has been engaged by our client to find legal talent to join their team as in-house Corporate Counsel. This person will work in-house and serve as a strategic legal partner to the financial institution providing expert guidance on legal matters that impact the operations. This role supports the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in effectively managing legal and regulatory risks from a collaborative leadership style that encourages proactive, business-minded legal guidance – balancing precision with operational efficiency.

A key focus of this role is driving effective legal work management. • 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in financial services, banking or credit unions
• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Texas
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Strong ability to exercise sound judgment when analyzing situations and resolving issues
• Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with others and work effectively in a professional team environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with discretion and professionalism
• Experience monitoring changes in laws and regulations affecting banks or credit union operations and ability to advise on needed policy or procedural changes
• Ability to develop internal resources to promote legal awareness and risk-informed decision making
