RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in ED Holds unit on 2 East floor with 22 beds and 30 staff members

• Maximum patient ratio of 6:1 with ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time

• Must have 1+ years acute med/surg/tele experience within the last year

• Preferred: 2+ years experience working Telemetry PCI, CABG POD 2

• Standard nursing skills required: IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration, EKG interpretation

• Additional skills:
Continuous Bladder Irrigation, NGT insertion/maintenance, documentation in EHR

• Work with Meditech EMR system and standard telemetry equipment

• Provide care for med/surg/telemetry patients

• Communication with all members of care team required

• Float to med/surg/tele units as needed

• Royal Blue scrubs required

• Weekend coverage as needed on unit with no on-call responsibilities

• Must maintain friendly, positive, patient-centered, team-focused personality

• RN license required
