Full time; days and hours may vary, rotating weekends and holidays, 12-hour shifts. More details upon interview. Pay Range: $15.00 per hour to $15.75 per hour.

Job SummaryPatient Dining Associates work on assigned units in a healthcare facility, providing services that include helping patients make menu selections, assembling, delivering and picking up meal trays. You will be part of the caregiving team, responsible for patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate and delivered at the right time and temperature.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
- Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, cultural/ethnic/religious preferences, or additional selections.
- Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
- Comply with regulator agency standards (federal, state, JCAHO) and adhere to facility confidentiality and patient rights per HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down the tray line.
- Follow facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
- Assist dietitians as needed (e.g., monitoring patients on liquid diets or with calorie counts).
- Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner, following department procedures.
- Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures.
- Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
- Basic computer and mathematical skills.
- Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver and push food delivery carts.
