Join our welcoming clinic in the heart of Corpus Christi, TX, proudly serving the Coastal Bend area. The team includes a Certified Prosthetist, Clinical Resident, and onsite Technician who support care for pediatric and adult orthotic and prosthetic patients. The role may involve travel to nearby hospitals and rehab centers within a 25‑mile radius. Impact
  • Collaborate with physicians in evaluating and analyzing a patient’s need for prosthetic and/or orthotic services; recommend treatment options to physicians when necessary.
  • Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
  • Formulate design of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
  • Select materials, make cast measurements, model modifications, and layouts, considering new techniques and materials.
  • Perform fitting, including static and dynamic alignments.
  • Evaluate prosthetic and/or orthotic devices on patients, adjust to assure fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality of work.
  • Instruct patients in the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
  • Identify and reconcile issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction with devices provided.
  • Provide follow‑up with patients and physicians.
  • Provide in‑service training to physicians and allied health professionals.
  • Utilize effective materials management, quality, and performance processes to maximize device quality and medical efficacy.
  • Meet with physicians, case managers, and other referral sources to review services and capabilities; develop and enhance business relationships.
  • Plan and implement strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets in coordination with management.
  • Provide detailed clinical notes to patient records.
  • May mentor residents or newly certified clinicians.
  • Assist other clinical staff and administrative staff with reimbursement activities.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance with Medicare, OSHA, and other governmental regulations.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
  • May be asked to perform on‑call, hospital calls, or float between more than one Hanger Clinic location.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from ABC or BOC.
  • Or a baccalaureate degree in prosthetics/orthotics and current ABC board‑eligibility.
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
  • In states where licensure is required, the ability to obtain and maintain state licensure.
  • Willingness to consider candidates certified in one discipline who wish to see patients in their certified discipline while completing residency in the other discipline.
  • May be considered candidates not certified or board‑eligible but with at least 5 years of experience providing prosthetic/orthotic services under supervision of a certified clinician.
Additional Success Factors
  • Thorough understanding of biomechanics, pathomechanics, gait analysis, kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • In-depth knowledge of componentry suitability and reliability.
  • Strong medical terminology skills.
  • Effective communication skills—oral and written— for accurate, concise reporting.
  • Ability to instruct personnel and customers on patient care objectives.
