RoleSummary
The Engineer II, Facility Integrity is an intermediate‑level Engineer role with responsibilities to support the various programs that comprise Buckeye’s Facility Integrity program.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions- Facility Integrity Program Support. Supporting the implementation of Buckeye’s Facility Integrity Programs, including but not limited to,
- Evaluating and continuously improving Buckeye’s Facility Integrity Programs through the investigation, recommendation, and implementation of new technologies.
- Selecting Inspection/Testing/Preventive Maintenance (ITPM) activities and the required specific inspection tools based on risk assessments.
- Researching background of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for program evaluation.
- Reviewing facility equipment failure and metallurgical analyses reports.
- Data Integration & Management. Facilitating Facility Integrity data integration within Buckeye’s GIS or other applications.
- Risk Management & Mitigation. Managing risk analyses and developing risk prevention/ mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement. Identifying and involving stakeholders (both internal and external to Facility Integrity) for key decisions and preparing Management of Change (MOC) work orders for Facility operations‑related activities and/or procedure revisions, as required.
- Project/Program Management. Developing budgets and monitoring maintenance forecasts and expenditures related to the Facility Integrity Programs.
- Department Support. Providing support for Asset Integrity Team members.

- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or related field is required. - Experience:
Typically, 5+ years of relevant experience. - Special skills:
Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications required. - Special skills:
Proficiency with SQL, ESRI GIS, Power
BI, FME, Python, R, or other programming languages to perform data analysis is preferred. - Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory codes relating to facility integrity management is required.
- Travel Requirements: 10% travel possible.
- Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer certification is highly desirable.
- API-570 or API-510 certification, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- Requires strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills, ability to work well under pressure with strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to supervise 24/7 operations and work overtime as required.
- Requires excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Good communication skills (both oral and written), organizational and managerial skills and the ability to effectively negotiate with vendors and internal customers are essential.
- Maintain high level of technical expertise to remain current with changing technology, standards and regulations.
- Must be readily available to provide technical assistance during responses to pipeline releases or other emergencies.
