Power Delivery Program Lead / Senior Environmental Consultant

Stantec is seeking a Senior Environmental Program Lead to play a key, client‑facing role in driving our regional growth strategy. You will expand our Power industry footprint throughout the Gulf Coast Region, partner closely with client account managers, strengthen relationships, identify new opportunities, and elevate the reach and impact of our services. This high‑visibility position is for someone eager to shape strategy, drive business development, and help define the future of our Power Delivery practice.

In this role, you will also shape and elevate Stantec’s market presence for Power Delivery services, driving strategic positioning and long‑term growth. You will lead and guide projects and multidisciplinary teams, overseeing the full project life cycle from early pursuit and proposal development through execution and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development:
    Engage directly in identifying, pursuing, and winning projects; lead and participate in proposal preparation. Develop, maintain, and enhance Stantec’s market position with clients, approval agencies, and industry professionals. Engage and develop relationships with key industry partners, represent Stantec in conferences and business events, create and maintain internal relationships across practices and geographies to promote cross‑selling, and maintain understanding of market conditions and revenue potential within the Gulf Region.
  • Project Delivery:
    Support project management and provide technical support for environmental surveying, reporting, and permitting services for power sector clients. Collaborate with and manage a community of staff across various sectors. Identify project‑specific environmental design and regulatory requirements, establish objectives, lead teams on proposals, planning studies, designs, due diligence and permitting projects. Maintain strong understanding of project management fundamentals and provide mentoring and training for staff.
  • Capabilities and Credentials:
    Possess strong knowledge of project management and development workflows, applicable regulations, and risk profiles within the ERCOT/MISO/SPP region. Established track record of building strategic relationships. Ability to foster internal collaboration across practices and geographies. Deep knowledge of environmental design and regulatory requirements for Power Delivery projects. Skilled in establishing project objectives, developing procedures, and guiding teams through planning studies, design efforts, due diligence and permitting activities.

    Where lawful, ability to pass a post‑hire drug screen (client‑dependent).
  • Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s or advanced degree in natural sciences, environmental science, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience with technical specialization in environmental compliance, natural resource assessments, and permitting. 5+ years of experience in a business development and client relationship management capacity.

Typical office environment: working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time; field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.
