Provide instruction in various Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods. Instruction will be delivered through a combination of lab work, lectures, and modeling. Training will comply with ASNT’s SNT-TC-TC1A and the National Aerospace Standard NAS‑410.
Del Mar College offers training in five NDT disciplines:
Liquid Penetrate, Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, Radiography, and Ultrasonic. The instructor shall have a working knowledge of all five inspection techniques.
- Associate’s degree in Non‑Destructive Testing or ten (10) years of documented work experience.
- Level II certification in all five (5) disciplines at the time of hire and ability to re‑certify within six (6) months.
- Basic knowledge of various inspection techniques.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to complete an inspection with less than normal supervision, locate, interrupt, and apply technique data.
- Candidate should have Level II certification at one time and be able to re‑certify within six months of hire.
Applicants must reside in the state of Texas and be eligible to work in the United States.
