Summary:
The successful applicant will be expected to provide quality instruction in all phases of Instrumentation Technology and related areas including but not limited to safety instrumented systems, automation programming and development, repair, inspection and calibration of Industrial instrumentation equipment and technologies.
TERM Instructor teaches courses that could include online courses and or dual-credit/early college classes in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need.
- Organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective Instructor and the aptitudes to assist both new and returning students achieve their educational goals and objectives.
- Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided to insure course content and objectives are met.
- Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.
- Ability to utilize instructional technologies including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction.
- Associate of Applied Science in Instrumentation degree and five (5) years of documented work experience in Instrumentation/Automation or a related field.
- Eight (8) or more years of documented work experience in Instrumentation/Automation or related work experience.
- Experience in teaching.
- Ten (10) or more years experience in Industrial Instrumentation Technology.

Job Duties- Ensure syllabi, course outlines and class instruction meet state and industry standards.
- Provide students with a written and accessible course syllabus that follows the course syllabus guidelines and facilitates a clear understanding between student and instructor of the content, goals, requirements, expectations, evaluation methods and schedule of work.
- Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course outcomes.
- Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
- Hold scheduled, posted virtual or physical office hours of at least (1) hour daily and be available for and encourage conferences with students so there is a clearer understanding of the student’s work and the possibility of improvement.
