Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in teaching cosmetic makeup application. Teach assigned courses at various times and locations per institutional need and continually improve instructional quality. Develop and use diverse teaching methods and materials to assist students from varying backgrounds in meeting course outcomes. Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses and enhance instructional quality.
- Develop lesson plans and curriculum content.
- Utilize a variety of teaching styles and instructional technologies (computers, internet resources, etc.).
- Create and distribute a clear, accessible course syllabus following guidelines.
- Maintain a conducive classroom environment for learning.
- Maintain daily attendance rosters and input final student grades into WebDMC.
- Submit hard copies of daily attendance rosters and grade sheets to the Continuing Education Department.
- Monitor participants’ technique level, ensuring safety and health standards are met.
- Provide written evaluation of student progress per college procedures.
- Three (3) years of related work experience.
- Plan course instruction based on approved syllabus/outline.
- Use diverse teaching styles to suit varied learning styles.
- Employ instructional technologies, including computers and internet resources.
- Knowledge in Cosmetic Makeup Application Instruction.
- Two (2) years of teaching or training experience.
- Experience developing lesson plans and curriculum.
- Certificate in Cosmetology.
