Del Mar College – Corporate Services is looking for a qualified instructor to teach Emergency Medical Responder courses. This position is grant‑funded and requires a commitment to uphold instructional standards and advance the quality of instruction.

Teach assigned Emergency Medical Responder courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and continuously strive to improve instructional quality.
Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to help students with diverse educational and experiential backgrounds meet course outcomes. Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
Evaluate students to measure progress toward course outcomes within the College grade and grade appeals procedures; review, evaluate, recommend, and effectively use learning materials.
Provide students with a written and accessible course syllabus that follows the Course Syllabus Guidelines and clarifies content, goals, requirements, expectations, evaluation methods, and schedule. Maintain a classroom environment that promotes teaching and learning.
Maintain daily attendance rosters. Input final student grades into WebDMC and submit hard copies of attendance rosters and grade sheets to the Continuing Education Department.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Three (3) years of EMS experience.
- Current certification or license from the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Paramedic.
- Plan course instruction based on an approved syllabus/outline to meet content and objectives.
- Use a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Utilize instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources, and other appropriate media.
- Higher education teaching experience.
- Experience developing lesson plans and curriculum for instruction.
