ADJUNCT – ENGLISH

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes.

• Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in English (to instruct English credit courses)
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, English Education or related area (to instruct English developmental courses)

• Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outlines to ensure course content and objectives are met
• Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students

• Experience teaching at the secondary or college level
• Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas)
