Position SummaryThe Human Resources Clerk compiles, updates, maintains and organizes human resource files and tracks and monitors information to ensure records and files are complete and up-to-date. The Clerk records and enters employee information into the electronic records system and updates employee files with documented personnel actions, providing information to payroll and other areas. The HR Clerk performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- 6 months office/clerical related experience.
- General office administrative procedures.
- Organizational ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Computer literate.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- 1 or more years experience in maintaining employment records.

- Compiles, updates and maintains Human Resources, Payroll, and Benefit files.
- Tracks, audits, and monitors information to ensure records are complete and in compliance.
- Updates and scans files into the electronic records system.
- Organizes files to avoid misfiling and for easy access.
- Assists staff in locating files.
- Organizes various documents for filing.
- Verifies employee files are complete and accurate.
- Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports.
- Provides clerical and administrative support for the Human Resources staff, copying correspondence or other printed material and assisting with routine projects as requested.
- Combines Personnel, Payroll, and Benefit files upon termination of employment of faculty and staff and reviews files for records management retention.
- Disposes of non-retained files properly.
