Administrative Assistant
- Lead –
Education Service Center, Region 2
Under moderate supervision, respond to inquiries from staff, training participants, and the public; provide requested information, referrals, direct visitors, and general clerical support for the efficient operation of ESC Region 2.
Education Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous clerical experience required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required
- Self‑motivated and task‑oriented
- Desires challenges and new learning experiences
- Possess decision‑making skills
- Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Able to meet deadlines
- Ability to effectively use written and oral language
- Proficiency in the use of pertinent computer programs and other standard office equipment
- Participates in required program meetings, trainings, and events to meet program goals
- Compiles and maintains information, electronic data, and physical files; orders supplies; maintains inventory; generates service contracts and invoices; prepares reports as needed
- Assists with preparation of workshop or other event materials for staff
- Performs routine clerical functions as they contribute to the operations of the office
- Identifies and responds to problems effectively
- Completes assignments on time and accurately
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Uses all office equipment and software necessary to perform functions of the job
- Maintains confidentiality of information
- Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others
- Maintains working budgets, generates service contracts, requisitions for purchase orders, invoices, and supply orders for assigned programs using online systems
- Receives and directs incoming calls, takes reliable messages, and routes to appropriate staff
- Greets visitors, responds to inquiries, and directs them to appropriate personnel per ESC 2 policies and procedures regarding building security
- Maintains visitor log and issues visitor passes
- Responds to emergency calls and notifies appropriate parties to address immediate safety or security issues
- Receives deliveries and disseminates materials and information to appropriate parties
- Follows ESC 2 safety protocols and emergency procedures
From $35,057.00 to $50,443.00 annually.
