Staff Accountant

Working on a full-time, direct hire Staff Accountant opportunity with a growing energy/mining organization. This role supports day-to-day financial operations and is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and looking to grow within a corporate accounting environment.

• Oversee full-cycle Accounts Payable (invoice processing, vendor verification, tracking)
• Post transactional journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
• Track expenses, manage purchase orders, and support internal controls documentation
• Prepare monthly close work papers and assist with actual vs. budget reporting
• Support local/state tax filings and basic banking activities
• Validate financial data against system reports and ensure GAAP compliance
• Assist with annual budgeting and external audit requests
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and vendors to resolve issues

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• 4-5 years of accounting experience (corporate environment preferred)
• 2 years within energy, manufacturing, or industrial sectors preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Proficiency in accounting systems;
  Net Suite experience is a plus
• Intermediate to advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information
