Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section as assigned and stock merchandise using proper equipment (excluding power/heavy equipment).
• Assure proper pricing on merchandise, check product date codes, and maintain stock rotation.
• Prepares perishable products for sale as needed.
• Sets up advertising/promotional displays.
• Cleans and maintains sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot as directed by store management.
• Provides friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and courteous assistance to customers by giving current store and product information.
• Loads customer purchases into vehicles when requested.
• Performs basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies.

Qualifications

• Read and write English; interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Extra Skills

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.
