We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to support Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) F/A-18 & EA-18G Fleet Support Team operations at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), NAS North Island.

This role oversees engineering sustainment projects supporting fleet readiness. The position requires strong project execution discipline, cross-functional coordination, and technical oversight within an aviation maintenance environment.

This is a direct hire opportunity.

• Lead sustainment-related engineering projects supporting F/A-18 aircraft
• Translate sponsor proposals into structured project execution plans
• Define project phases, responsibilities, and resource assignments
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules and staffing plans
• Conduct technical analysis, validation studies, and performance testing
• Monitor project performance and resolve schedule or scope issues
• Control scope and recommend corrective actions to leadership
• Prepare status reports, performance metrics, and executive summaries
• Serve as liaison between engineering teams, logistics personnel, and stakeholders
• Oversee engineering development efforts from concept through completion

• Active Secret Clearance (required at time of hire)
• 3–10 years of engineering and/or logistics program/project management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or relevant technical discipline
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience in structured, high-accountability environments

• Aviation maintenance or sustainment background
• Fleet readiness or depot-level operations experience
