Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Full‑time, location:
Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC), Corona, CA. Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services.
The Recovery Room Registered Nurse receives patients from the Operating Room and other ancillary departments, monitors vital signs and provides necessary interventions within the scope of nursing as prescribed by surgeons or anesthesiologists. The RN assists in transport of patients to outpatient surgery and surgical floors, monitors IV sedation and local anesthesia cases, and provides competent care to patients from infancy through geriatric age groups.
Responsibilities- Receive patients from the Operating Room and other ancillary departments.
- Monitor vital signs and provide necessary interventions as prescribed.
- Assist in transport of patients to outpatient surgery and surgical floors.
- Assist with monitoring of IV sedation and local anesthesia cases in the Operating Room.
- Provide competent care for patients throughout the lifespan, from infancy through geriatric.
- One year of Critical Care or PACU experience or basic Coronary Care Class with hemodynamic experience required.
- Age‑specific education and/or experience.
- Current California Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS (CPR), ACLS and PALS certificates.
