Charge RN (Psychiatric) – Part‑time
Location:
Corona, CA
Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Program Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Charge RN is an RN with clinical expertise who directs patient care activities during their assigned shift. This position provides care to adult and geriatric patients and includes responsibilities such as assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation of patients and their treatment plans, as well as counseling and education for patients' families.
The RN follows nursing standards of care, policies and procedures to assure optimal outcomes and is accountable for the supervision of all categories of nursing personnel (LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA, etc.).
- Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and document patients and their treatment plans.
- Provide counseling and education to patients' families.
- Follow nursing standards of care, policies, and procedures to assure optimal outcomes.
- Supervise all categories of nursing personnel (LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA, etc.).
- Minimum of two years of psychiatry/mental health experience.
- One year working with a geriatric population.
- Minimum of two years of acute hospital experience and leadership preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from hire date.
- Current California Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS (CPR) certificate.
