Per Diem
- Psychiatric Unit position located Corona Regional Rehabilitation Center in Corona, CA
Reporting to the Nurse Manager and Director of Behavioral Health Services, this position requires accountability for the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health of patients assigned to the care. Utilize specialized nursing process skills to deliver quality care to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. Work in conjunction with the Charge Nurse and may function as relief charge nurse as needed.
The Corona Regional Medical Center history includes establishment in 1965, growth to meet community needs, and a merger creating a 238-bed network comprising a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 99-bed rehabilitation campus. The facility is certified by The Joint Commission and employs healthcare professionals across multiple specialties.

QualificationsESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Knowledge and understanding of psychiatric diagnoses, terminology and medical record charting. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
At least two (2) years of experience with clients with serious and persistent mental illness, preferably one year in an inpatient setting. Excellent verbal and written skills.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Assaultive Behavior Management Training required within 90 days from date of hire.
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
Current California RN license is required. Current BLS (CPR) Certificate is required.
