Responsibilities

Come Join Our Team! LVN - Psychiatric Unit position located Corona Regional Rehabilitation Center in Corona, CA. Full-time/Day, shift position. Reporting to the Nurse Manager and Director of Behavioral Health Services, this position will require accountability for the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health of patients assigned to his/her care. Utilizes specialized knowledge and skills in the application of nursing process skills to deliver quality care to the serious and persistent mental illness.

Works in conjunction with the Charge Nurse and may function as Relief Charge Nurse, as needed.

• Knowledge and understanding of psychiatric diagnosis(es), terminology and medical record charting.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• At least two (2) years experience working with clients with serious and persistent mental illness, preferably one of those years in an inpatient setting.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Assaultive Behavior Management Training required within 90 days from date of hire.
• Current California LVN license required.
• Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required.
