The Utilities Department is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Business Supervisor to guide a team responsible for critical administrative and financial planning functions. This role oversees budget development, revenue forecasting, expenditure analysis, purchasing, and rate studies that support smooth and efficient operations.

Candidates with experience in local government or utilities will shine, but a strong background in budgeting and finance is especially valued. You’ll play a key role in refining processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the department’s financial strategies are sound and forward-thinking. • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.

• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional experience in administrative and management analysis, including two (2) years in a lead or supervisory role.

• Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, to be maintained throughout employment.

The eligibility list established from this recruitment may also be used to fill the current and/or additional vacancies throughout the City. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a reference / background check including live‑scan and pass a pre‑employment medical examination (which will include a drug/alcohol screening).
