The Opportunity The Human Resources Analyst is part of a service team, reporting directly to a Senior Human Resources Analyst and generally to the Deputy Chief Talent Officer and Chief Talent Officer. Each Analyst (there are 2 Analysts and 2 Senior Analysts) is responsible for both serving as an HR generalist business partner to 2-3 fast-paced City Departments (managing recruitment, classification & compensation, labor relations, performance management & discipline, leave issues, etc.
for each assigned department) and for becoming and serving as the HR Department's designated internal "expert" in a specific area of HR (recruitment/Neogov; benefits, leaves, and payroll; labor relations; classification & compensation; or employee relations).

Qualifications
We will be most excited by your passion for this position, so any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered! A typical way would be a bachelor’s degree in human resources or public administration, and three years of increasingly responsible experience in human resources, with a strong preference for a background in local government.

The Organization
The City of Corona is a General Law city operating under a Council-Manager form of government.
