Overview
Nuclear Medicine Technician (Med Tech) position — This is a Part Time position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, this position operates all nuclear equipment leading to the diagnosis of designated portions of the body as ordered by physician. The technologist then instructs the patient on all nuclear medicine procedures, protocols, as well as preps.
The technologist is responsible for proper computer operation and computer knowledge, use of gamma and SPEC T software, and provides the best patient care possible to enhance quality and professionalism in their tasks.
- Operate all nuclear medicine equipment to assist in diagnosis as ordered by the physician.
- Instruct patients on nuclear medicine procedures, protocols, and preps.
- Ensure proper computer operation, computer knowledge, and use of gamma and SPEC T software.
- Provide high-quality patient care with professionalism.
- Certification by the California Department of Health Services and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT and CRT) required.
- Certificate of Nuclear Medicine Technologists required.
- Current BLS (CPR) certificate required.
- One (1) year experience in Nuclear Medicine required.
- I.V. Certification for contrast injections preferred.
