PER DIEM Food Service Worker located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, Ca

Reporting to the Director of Nutritional Services, this position prepares hot food items for patient trayline, cafeteria, doctor's lounge, and catering functions according to production schedule. In the absence of the director or chef, the worker supervises kitchen staff and acts as lead person, ensuring all duties are completed consistently in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has evolved to meet the needs of a rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992, and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center, a 238‑bed community hospital network comprising a 160‑bed acute care hospital and a 78‑bed rehabilitation campus.

The facility is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers, and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

• Prepare hot food items for patient trayline, cafeteria, doctor's lounge, and catering functions.
• Supervise kitchen staff and act as lead person in absence of Director or Chef.
• Ensure all duties are completed consistently and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Minimum 2‑4 years of previous experience with hospital or institutional food preparation.
• Basic to advanced culinary skills; knowledge of modified and therapeutic diets preferred.
• Food Workers’ certificate required within 30 days of start date.
