SOCIAL WORKER (LCSW/LICSW) PER DIEM – Locked Psych Unit for Adults – Corona Regional Medical Center
Reporting to the Social Service Supervisor, this position provides education and psychoeducation to patients and their families or significant others to assist them in coping with psychosocial problems related to acute and chronic mental illness and treatment regimens in order to maximize the patients' re‑integration into the home and community settings.
Responsibilities- Provide education and psychoeducation to patients and families.
- Assist patients in coping with psychosocial problems related to acute and chronic mental illness.
- Support patients’ reintegration into home and community settings.
- Lead staff development and training.
- Lead process groups.
- Conduct utilization review.
- Manage quality initiatives.
- Perform bio‑psychosocial assessments.
- ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE /
SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills; knowledge of patient rights, guardianship, and conservatorship status. - Minimum Essential
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in mental health. - Minimum Essential
Education:
Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field required. - Required Licensure /
Certifications:
LCSW license required. - Acessive Behavior Management training certificate required within 90 days of hire.
- Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required from the American Heart Association.
