Program Manager/Orthopedics FT/DAYS at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, Ca. The Program Manager - Orthopedics leads assigned areas of the Orthopedic Program for Southwest Healthcare System. The Program Manager - Orthopedics has direct accountability for serving the Orthopedic Program. This position works closely with physician partners, facility leaders, and the community in business planning, marketing, and development for the program including integration and optimization of orthopedic patient care.
Facilitates daily program operations; demonstrates thorough understanding of financial system for budget management, facility policies and procedures, clinical information systems, and business/marketing program management. Role models facility’s mission, vision, and values; supports the learning of others; and practices Leader standard work. Collaborates with Clinical Leaders on program specific clinical processes in order to ensure efficiency. The Program Manager - Orthopedics acts as mentor and coach to enable problem solving and develops smooth functioning Teams with a focus on affordability, quality, and satisfaction.
Other duties as assigned.
- Current clinical knowledge and understanding of orthopedic surgical procedures.
- Knowledge of data abstraction from medical records.
- Computer skills including, but not limited to, word processing (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel), data entry and management as necessary, and familiarity with working within network systems.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, analytical and planning skills. Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization effectively to achieve outcomes, direct others and negotiate for desired results.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory compliance standards.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting, 2 years progressive management experience.
- Prior experience in an Orthopedic Surgery Program preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
