Provides financial oversight and coordinates the preparation and analysis of financial reports. Supervises the Accounting Department, including Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accountant.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor in Business Administration;
Major in Accounting preferred. - Minimum five (5) years Hospital Accounting as a Supervisor.
- Coordinates and participates in the preparation of financial statements and government regulatory reports.
- Identifies and analyzes significant fluctuations in income, expenses, assets or liability balances and reports findings to appropriate department heads. Assists with cash management.
- Prepares financial reports for use by the CFO and Administration.
- Coordinates Medicare and Medi-Cal reporting requirements and audits.
- Identifies enhancement opportunities for accounting systems and recommends appropriate changes.
- Maintains an accurate accounting of all contractual and due to/from items and statistical information for hospital departments.
- Supervises the Accounting Department, Staff Accountant, AP & Payroll.
- Ensures compliance with internal financial controls. Participates in annual audit of financial statement.
- Participates in annual audit of financial statement.
- Ensures that all tax reports are filed accurately and on time.
- Other duties as requested
