We are seeking a hands‑on Process Engineer with a mechanical foundation and practical PLC exposure to optimize, automate, and scale our manufacturing lines. You will design tooling and fixtures, integrate and troubleshoot PLC‑controlled equipment, and drive measurable improvements in throughput, quality, and safety.
What You'll Do- Mechanical & tooling:
Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and material‑handling solutions for new and existing products; create CAD models and drawings using Solid Works and AutoCAD. - Automation & PLC:
Support equipment install/start‑up and perform PLC/HMI troubleshooting and minor logic adjustments; collaborate with controls partners on Allen‑Bradley (Studio 5000/RSLogix) or Siemens (TIA Portal) systems. - Continuous improvement:
Lead Kaizen events, time studies, and root cause analysis to reduce cycle time, scrap, and downtime; implement visual management, SOPs, PMs, and mistake‑proofing. - Cross‑functional:
Partner with Production, Maintenance, and Quality on trials, validations, and change control; maintain documentation and train technicians on new processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years in manufacturing/process engineering with proven process improvement results.
- Proficiency in Solid Works and AutoCAD for tooling/equipment design.
- Hands‑on PLC exposure: equipment start‑up, I/O checks, fault diagnosis, and basic ladder logic edits on Allen‑Bradley or Siemens (full‑stack programming preferred).
