Base Pay Range$93,000.00 / yr – $ / yr (depends on licensure and experience).
Position SummaryWe are seeking a full‑time Civil Engineering Designer to work under the guidance of a Project Manager. In this role, you will design residential, commercial, and public works projects in Southern California, prepare engineering plans and specifications, and assist with cost estimates.
Job Duties- Prepare preliminary and final engineering plans for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including grading, street, and utility improvements.
- Design drainage and water‑quality mitigation for low‑impact development applications.
- Prepare technical reports and calculations (hydrology/hydraulics, WQMP, SWPPP, water & sewer).
- Ensure design quality and innovate through supervision, plan reviews, and training of junior staff.
- Mentor less experienced staff.
- Develop practical and economical solutions to technical problems.
- Manage technical aspects of projects, preparing construction plans, reports, and documents for land development.
- Assist Project Manager in client and agency interaction and build lasting relationships.
- Monitor project budgets and hours dedicated to specific tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and/or 3 years experience managing multi‑disciplined land development engineering tasks.
- Experience working with survey data to prepare base maps.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil Design, H2OMap Sewer, and Water.
- Experience in engineering design for land development projects.
- Strong problem‑solving, judgment, decision‑making, communication, and teamwork skills.
