Purpose and Scope:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the daily activities in the Accounting department. They analyze, record, track and audit financial information. They also manage and motivate accounting staff.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees and manages general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Schedules and assigns tasks to staff.
• Assesses current practices and procedures and makes recommendations for improvements.
• Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions.
• Develops staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
• Helps with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
• Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closings and reporting.
• All other duties as require.

Education/ Training:

• Experience working with mutiple divsions within company.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and spreadsheets.
• Experience with MS Dynamics Business Central - Must.
• Construction industry experience is preferred.
