Position:
Store Manager - Cornwall Centre

Hours:

32-40 / week

Wage: $24 an hour + up to $2000 Bonus

Benefits: $500 Health Spending Account annually

Why This Role Matters

Shop Makers is coming to Saskatchewan! As the Store Manager of Shop Makers, Cornwall Centre, you are the primary owner of store results and team performances. Your role ensures that each store meets its sales goals, recruitment goals, budget, as well as adheres to company policies, and maintains high standards of customer service.

The Store Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and supporting both store team members and vendors, providing operational oversight, and contributing to the continued success and growth of your Makers retail location. You'll champion culture at your store, helping create a space where creativity, trust, and transparency thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead & Grow the Maker Community
  • Recruit and onboard new artisans to maintain 97%+ vendor occupancy.
  • Act as the first point of contact for vendors after they are actively stocking in store.
  • Assist new makers during their move-in, providing guidance, support, and data entry/updates in Google Sheets & Paperform.
  • Share your passion and knowledge about our products and vendors with customers in-store and by email.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new team members.
  • Create and manage schedules to ensure the store is fully staffed while staying within budget.
  • Motivate and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service to our artisans and customers.
  • Meet weekly with your Regional Manager to review sales, recruitment forecasts, and brainstorm continuous improvement ideas.
  • Drive Sales & Deliver an Outstanding Experience
  • Champion culture and create a welcoming, transparent, and creative space for artisans and customers.
  • Ensure store sales remain high through excellent vendor and customer engagement.
  • Resolve issues at store level quickly, positively, and effectively.
  • Understand KPIs, metrics for success and sharing that back with the team.
  • Process point-of-sale transactions quickly and accurately.
  • Keep the Store Running Smoothly
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards through product presentation, replenishment, and housekeeping.
  • Ensure the store is clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing.
  • Stay current with and communicate Shop Makers’ policies, services, and events.
Retail Sales

Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
  • 2+ year experience in sales, retail, or customer service environments
  • Business administration proficiency a plus
  • Experience in team leadership & facilitation of work
Schedule
  • One weekend availability day required
  • Flexible 6-8 hour shifts
