We currently have a position in our Individual Placement and Support Employment Specialist team to support our clients to find meaningful employment. Our IPS team aims to increase the number of people moving into meaningful employment from our drug and alcohol support service. This is an exciting opportunity to help make a real difference to people’s lives. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

• Support clients with CV writing and interview techniques
• Speak with potential employers on behalf of your clients
• Cover the mid Cornwall area, based out of the Truro office and meet clients in the community (requires full UK driving licence and access to a car)
• Work flexibly, including unsocial hours as required

• Experience of recruitment processes and employability skills development
• Experience of supporting individuals with complex needs to gain and or maintain employment
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car
• Ability to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders (employers, partner agencies, clients and their family/carer)
• Experience of multi‑agency partnership working
• Sound knowledge of best practice in the provision of addictions and/or employability and employment services
• Knowledge and understanding of issues faced by people in treatment/recovery in the job market, and in employability and employment services
• Leadership and motivation skills – able to lead and motivate others, nurture and encourage clients
• Strong IT skills, ideally in Google Workspace
• Highly organised with excellent time‑management skills
• Flexibility to work from different locations and work unsocial hours as required

Pay: £27,500 to £32,000 per year (salary bands)
