Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary setting based in the Par area
. This is a rewarding long‑term role supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them to feel safe, engaged, and successful in their learning.
- Autism (ASC)
- Speech, language and communication difficulties
- Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
- Cognitive learning difficulties
- Providing 1:1 or small‑group support
- Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff
- Creating a nurturing and structured learning environment
We welcome applicants from backgrounds such as:
- SEN support
- Care or residential work
- Youth work
- Early years or childcare
- Psychology, criminology, or education graduates
- Empathy, resilience, and strong communication
- A genuine passion for supporting additional needs
- Flexibility and a positive attitude
- A Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
