    Up to £60,000 FTE (DOE)
  • Hours:

    15 - 22.5 hours per week, 08:30am – 16:30pm, Monday to Friday – days to be agreed

Role Responsibilities
  • Deliver psychological assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs, in collaboration with the education team
  • Work within the standards provided in the OFG Psychological Practice Ways of Working to guide practice in an education setting
  • Hold a psychological caseload with the full support of a designated clinical supervisor and site lead
  • Contribute to school development, staff training and consultation as required
  • Maintain a person-centred, empowering approach and contribute to safeguarding culture across settings
Essential Criteria
  • Registered Educational/Forensic/Counselling/Clinical Psychologist
  • Doctoral level degree in Clinical/Counselling/Forensic/Educational Psychology (or equivalent if qualified prior to the introduction of the relevant Doctorate)
  • Relevant previous experience in related settings or with the related client group
  • Experience of effective multidisciplinary working and communication with families/relatives and carers
  • Experience of working within multiple systems in an organisation (service development, group and individual levels)
  • Experience of the model: assess, plan, do and review
  • Experience of using consultation as a method of service delivery
  • Competence in core areas of psychological practice and HCPC standards
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and neuro-diversity
  • Ability to develop formulations and inform interventions and recommendations
  • Ability to develop and deliver training to different cohorts
  • Ability to write coherent and accurate clinical records, reports and intervention plans
  • Excellent communication skills for complex matters
  • Effective IT skills or aptitude to learn
  • Ability to work with a range of professionals and contribute to service development
