Brief Description
Native Preference in hiring is given to qualified enrolled members of Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians and Native Americans in accordance with the Band’s Preference Policy, Chapter 1-715 of the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians Tribal Policies). Applicants claiming Indian Preference must submit verification of Indian certified by tribe of affiliation or other acceptable documentation of Indian heritage.
Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the General Manager, the Office Administrative Assistant serves as the frontline to the company admin. They work closely with administrators and other employees to organize files, create correspondence and prepare reports or documents. Their role is to complete a range of clerical tasks and assist department heads as needed. The position requires some flexibility in day-to-day tasks and may require some driving.
Duties & Responsibilities- Filing and organizing
- Answer phones and emails and take messages
- Welcoming and directing visitors and vendors
- Executing and filing donations
- Vendor and Supplier contact as needed
- Scanning and printing files
- Maintaining front office
- Managing office supplies
- Communicating and implementing office policies
- Supporting Managers and Department Heads
- Supply/Product pick up as needed
- Assisting in preparations for meetings and events
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Skilled in communications and collaboration
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- Excellent computer skills, grammar, and professional communications
- Versed in Microsoft Office and ability to learn other company software programs
- Familiarity with printer/scanner/fax machines
- Detail oriented
- Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience
- Ability to maintain professional and positive attitude
- Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner while in the presence of alcohol
- Ability to interact with all types of people and personalities
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Prior experience in administrative or office setting is preferred
- Prior experience working with or for a Tribal Entity is preferred
- Interest and experience in craft beer and craft beer industry is preferred.
- Possess a valid California Driver’s License and be insurable by the Tribe
Pre-employment Drug Testing and a Department of Justice Fingerprinting clearance through Federal, State and Child Abuse Index is a contingency for an offer of employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is required to stoop. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Position may require exertion up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move Paskenta Mad River Brewing LLC property. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Local travel is occasionally required. Travel outside of the state is infrequently required. Typical travel time is generally less than a week.
