Program Director – Mountaindale Recovery Center #1308
Life Works NW invites a dedicated Program Director to lead the residential substance‑abuse program at Mountaindale Recovery Center (MRC). The role focuses on women who are pregnant or have children nine years old or younger, providing a climate of healing and empowerment.
OverviewThe Program Director manages daily clinical and operational aspects of the program, including contract management, service quality, staff deployment, community integration, and public relations. Position is based out of Life Works NW’s Mountaindale Site.
Salary & BenefitsAnnual salary range: $80,643–$104,836 with full benefits. Location differential: $1.25 per hour ($2,600) annual. Compensation supports internal pay equity laws and program impact expectations.
Essential Responsibilities- Strategic, clinical, and operational leader of the MRC clinical model and treatment philosophy.
- Coordinate partner organization relationships within the program.
- Monitor contract compliance; implement statement of work.
- Assist in program budget development and monitoring; support grant writing and fundraising.
- Provide training to community partners, agency staff, and others; oversee quality management compliance and day‑to‑day tasks (chart audits, utilization management).
- Support direct reports with performance expectations, training, and performance issue resolution.
- Establish direct service expectations for clinical staff; monitor employee productivity, documentation, and insurance authorizations.
- Coordinate hiring process including orientation and training.
- Meet with staff individually and group supervision (min. twice per month); maintain accurate documentation of supervisory meetings.
- Provide direct service when required; offer crisis consultation for program area.
- Must hold CADC 2 credential.
- QMHP preferred; QMHPs require valid MHACBO certification or active status with an approved Oregon licensing board.
- Demonstrated clinical and administrative experience (3+ years) in a program area; 2 years of progressively responsible experience.
- LPC or LCSW preferred.
- Knowledge of outreach, engagement, and/or treatment strategies for the program population.
- Competence in leadership, program planning, budgeting, fiscal management, supervision, personnel management, program staff performance assessment, data use, reporting, program evaluation, quality assurance, and community resource coordination.
- Ability to network and promote program in the community; public speaking skills optional.
- Proficient computer skills:
Outlook, Word, Excel, and electronic health record system; mastery of proprietary software. - Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance coverage, safe driving record from DMV; must meet Life Works NW driving requirements.
