Registered Nurse (RN) - Supervisor / Educator – Atrium Health Lake Norman – Operating Room – Full Time

Join Atrium Health as a Registered Nurse Supervisor and Educator in our 4‑bed Operating Room team.

Job Overview

Department: Atrium Health Lake Norman – Surgery Room (Room 37703).
Status: Full Time.
Pay Range: $43.30 – $64.95 per hour.
Hours Per Week: 40.
Benefits Eligible: Yes.
Schedule: Full time clinical supervisor; additional unit education responsibilities. Sign‑on bonus eligibility based on eligibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the manager by applying systematic approaches to improve nursing practice, service administration, and patient care.
  • Assist with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
  • Coordinate communication during shifts via staff meetings and huddles.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Conduct rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess quality of care and departmental operations.
  • Delegate elements of care to appropriate staff within legal and policy parameters.
  • Assist in identifying expected outcomes and providing direction for continuity of care.
  • Evaluate progress toward goals, disseminate findings to the team.
  • Perform nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and medication administration.
  • Manage patient flow and staffing through continuous assessment of volume and acuity.
Physical Requirements

Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must lift and support up to 35 pounds. Must speak and understand English fluently. Intact sight, hearing, smell, touch; finger dexterity. Critical thinking and concentration required.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN licensure in the applicable state. Minimum two years nursing experience preferred; previous management experience preferred. BSN required. External hires or internal promotions without a BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within one year of hiring and complete within three years. BLS required. Professional certification (clinical or leadership) required within one year of eligibility.
