The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) that functions at a medical level of care to provide anesthesia, analgesia, and pain management services across the patient lifespan in a variety of settings. Clinical responsibilities may include ambulatory, surgery center and/or hospital anesthesia services. The CRNA participates as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide safe, high quality, cost effective, and evidence-based care.

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will provide care within their scope of practice as outlined by applicable state law, licensing, regulations, institutional policy, privileges, and practice agreements.
